With nearly three decades of extensive experience across the financial and renewable energy sectors, he joined SPARX in 2007 and has since held a range of senior leadership positions. He has played a pivotal role in the firm’s strategic business development, overseeing the planning and execution of new business initiatives, including investments in and support for startup companies. He also serves as the head of the Group’s Hokkaido business and as Managing Director of the SPARX Sapporo-Hokkaido GX Fund.

Joined Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. in 1996 and Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. in 2001. In 2004, founded SHIN-KAN Co., Ltd. and was appointed Representative Director. Joined SPARX Securities Co., Ltd. (currently SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd.) in 2007.

In 2009, appointed as a member of the Smart Grid Study Group, reporting directly to the President and Representative Director, focusing on environmental and clean technology-related investments. In 2011, began working on renewable energy funds within the Corporate Value Creation Investment Division (currently the Development Investment Division).

In 2013, appointed Deputy Head of the Development Investment Division and Head of the Business Development Office at SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd.

In May 2015, appointed Director and Head of Business Development at SPARX Green Energy & Technology Co., Ltd. In May 2016, appointed President & Representative Director of the company.

In July 2020, appointed President & Representative Director of SPARX Investment Co., Ltd. (current position).

In April 2021, appointed Chairman of SPARX Green Energy & Technology Co., Ltd. (current position).
