Daisuke Arakawa

Daisuke Arakawa was appointed Executive Vice President of NIKKEI in April 2026, after serving as Managing Director since March 2022. He joined NIKKEI as a reporter straight out of Tokyo University in 1987. Since then he has held various roles in the corporation including Financial Correspondent in New York and Editor of Capital Markets & Corporate News. As the head of M&A, he led the acquisition of the Financial Times in 2015 and became Director of the FT and Executive Officer of NIKKEI in 2020. He was born in Nagano City, Japan.
